Translation

Fell asleep: a servant of God, Chadsyminia (?), daughter of Io[annik]ios, in the year [6]870, in the [15th] in[diction].

Commentary

1-4. On the formula, see Introduction IV.3.F.e.

5. Υἱὸς in reference to a daughter is also attested in V 140 from Laki (1421 C.E.)

6-7. The name Ioannikios (here Ioanikeos) is known in the Northern Black Sea region in one inscription from Taman - V 340 (1078 C.E.), although is it a monk's name in that case.

7-8. The dating formula ἐπὶ ἔτους is typical for inscriptions from Kermenchik (for more detail, see Introduction III.1.C.b), while a reference to indiction is otherwise unknown in this location.
