On the front—inset field with relief cross with flaring arms in the centre bordered by relief moulding. To the right of the top arm of the cross—relief of a branch (?). Broken on all sides; the front is damaged.

Commentary
The monument appears to be a dedication related to the construction or decoration of a church.
1–4. Solomonik read these lines incorrectly, hence her conclusions about the dedication of the church to St. Theodotos are irrelevant. A lector is mentioned in two other inscriptions from Mangup (V 183 and V 189).
