Additional description

On the front - relief cross; below the left and rights arms of the cross there are two smaller crosses set on Golgothas; on a band below the large cross there are 3 more crosses with flaring arms (the middle one is inside a circle, the others inside squares). Broken on all sides, except the left.

Commentary

1–2. On the formula, see Introduction IV.3.F.e.

2–3. The name Eutropia which is easy to discern on the photograph published by Latyshev, is known in Bosporus in masculine form Eutropios (V 273). Two martyresses of this name are know (see Delehaye 1902, 1086).

The style of the monument is silimar to Late Byzantine tombstones of Mountainous Crimea (see, e.g., V 141 1301 C.E.) and of Alushta (V 234, XIVth century)
