Commentary

On the imperative forms, singular and plural, of the verb χαίρω in epitaph, see Latyshev IOSPE I2, p. 415 (ad № 453): «... explicuit Stephanius, ut non ad defunctos χαῖρε illud est conversum, sed a defunctis ad viatorem (cf. formulam solemnem τοῖς παράγουσι χαίρειν)».

Latyshev 1902, 61, II, with an addition of a photograph.

АСХ, № 315 (date: mid- or second half of I century C.E.).
