Commentary

The inscription was purchased from I. Pekerev in December 1907. Marti judged it to be Christian on the basis of script, but due to the loss of the monument, it is now impossible to confirm or dismiss his opinion.

For the reconstructed formula, cf. V 73.

The name Platonis is known in a Christian inscription from Pessinus (Strubbe 1983, 232). In classical antiquity, the name is epigraphically attested 7 times, in three of which it is used as a nickname.
